Friday, May 3, is Awards Day at OSA for grades 9-12.
Congratulations to the OSHS Class of 2024 Tennessee Scholars: Lydia Y, Layla V, Izzy H, Gracie H, Nicole G, Aspen B, Laura B, Dakota A, Chloe L, and Bella T! We are so proud of you and your accomplishments!
We would also like to recognize Nicole Gann & Izzy Hill who received scholarships courtesy of Enbridge & Education Matters Roane Alliance. Dakota Adkins also received a scholarship courtesy of Roane State Community College.
In order to be a Tennessee Scholar, these students maintained a C average or higher, never failed a course, have a 95% attendance rate, no out of school suspensions/expulsions , and they have completed 80 hours of community service.
Once again, congratulations to these students!
There will be one final FAFSA Night on the Roane State Harriman Campus on Wednesday, May 1st from 4-6 pm. The deadline for the FAFSA to be completed is May 15!

We want to encourage our OSA grades 6-8 students to attend the FREE STEM Camp that will be held Monday - Thursday, June 3 - 20, 2024, at Roane State's Roane County Campus. We are excited to see what STEM skills you learn to bring back to the classroom in the fall! Please see the flyer for details on registering.

Congratulations to Scarlet Ruffner as our winner of the Junior ACT Incentive for a $50 Visa Gift Card for meeting her ACT projection! Students who met their projection were entered into a drawing and students who scored over a 30 composite had their name entered twice. Great job, Scarlett!

Important Testing Announcement: The Biology EOC testing date has been changed to TOMORROW (April 23, 2024) in order to ensure that students are not taking 2 EOCs on the same day. Biology students should report to school with fully charged Chromebooks for their EOC test which is now TUESDAY, April 23, 2024.
Testing Continues this week! Please be at school on time with Chromebooks fully charged.
High School Cheer Parent Meeting TONIGHT @ 6 @ OSA! Tryouts begin next week so please be sure to be at the meeting if you are interested!
Come out tonight and support our softball seniors at 6 for their senior night. Then stay to cheer on the Lady Cats as they take on Coalfield at 6:30!
Unfortunately, the band concert that was scheduled for tonight has been postponed. We will post the rescheduled date at a later time and hope you will join us then.

Attention Students: Here is your Prom Ticket Reminder:
Prom tickets can be purchased from Ms. Vowell for $40 until Friday, April 19th.
Students MUST turn in a Prom Contract to Ms. Given no later than Friday, April 19th. Students may NOT attend Prom if they have not turned in their Prom Contract!
Students that have turned in a Guest Approval Form to the front office for a guest that does not go to OSHS should check for an email from Mr. Booth for approval or denial of their guest before purchasing a ticket for their guest.
