Bowers PTO Halloween Party is tomorrow, Monday, October 28, from 5:30-7:30 PM.
Picture remakes will be on Wednesday, October 30. Please let your child's teacher know if you want a retake.
Students may wear a school-appropriate costume on Thursday, October 31, to help us say BOO! to drugs as part of Red Ribbon Week.
No school for students on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, due to Election Day. Go vote!

Due to the inclement weather day on Friday, we missed our official last day to shop our fall book fair.
To accommodate students and families who may have missed it, we will be OPEN tomorrow, Monday, September 30, 2024 during the school day and after school until 4:30 pm if families want to visit the fair together. This will be the final day.

Good Afternoon, Bowers Families! Please see the bus update for this afternoon regarding Bus 91(52).
We do not have a sub for Bus 91(52) this afternoon. Coach P will use Bus 1 to transport students on Bus 1 and Bus 91(52). She will load both sets of students at Bowers, drop off Rolling Acres and Fiske Heights, then pick up both sets of students at HHS, then HMS and finish the Bus 1 route and then drop West Hills and Emory Gap for Bus 91. We thank you for your patience and understanding!
Bus 91 (52) will be 15 to 20 minutes late tomorrow morning. They will have a substitute bus driver. Thank you for understanding!

Good Evening, Bowers Families! This is a reminder that beginning of the year paperwork should be turned in tomorrow. Additionally, if your child is in grades K-3 and they want to attend the dance camp on Saturday with the Sweethearts and Boyz, they need to turn in their permission slip and $30 by tomorrow morning to their classroom teacher. We hope you have a great evening!
We have a saying here at Bowers that all students are our students. What does that mean? When a student, no matter whose class they're in, needs help, love, attention, or support, we all jump in and do what we can when we are able. On Monday, a sweet Kindergarten student was nervous about getting on the bus. It was new. It was scary. Ms. Makayla Harrison, who was on bus duty at the time, could see that the student was struggling with this new procedure. Without hesitation, she hopped on the bus with the student and provided much needed comfort and support...until they arrived at the next stop where the student had a friend hop on, and Ms. Makayla got booted from her seat! We are blessed at Bowers to have staff members willing to do what it takes for students. Thank you, Ms. Makayla, for being an example of what it means to be the BESt!
